Raise your hand if you struggle… Yep. I see you, I see you, I see you. And I see me too. Today I’m struggling with shame. I woke up and I just felt the heaviness on my chest. Do you ever feel like your struggles are your fault? Me too. But these are Satan’s lies. They are real to us, but they are still lies. We all struggle. And that’s okay. You are not alone. READ THIS!!!
“For this reason he had to be made like them, fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people. Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.” Hebrews 2:17-18
Y’all!!! Jesus suffered so that He could become more like us… so that He could empathize with us in our suffering. He is right by your side. And I am too.
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea; The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.” Psalm 46:1-2, 7
These verses say it all… There will be suffering on this earth. But… we do NOT have to fear! Why? Because God is our refuge. God is our strength. God is our ever-present help in trouble. God is almighty. And He is with us.
So if you raised your hand… do not fear. Do not panic. God is with you. Hit your knees and ask Him to give you peace, strength, comfort… whatever you need.
How can you seek Him today? How can you call on our ever-present help in trouble?
